Operations Manager – Supply Chain and Assembly

Keystone Precision & Engineering, Inc., located in Pepperell, MA, has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager – Supply Chain and Assembly.

The Operations Manager – Supply/Assembly will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain and assembly operations within Prince Industries LLC. Reporting directly to the General Manager, they will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and effective production and delivery of products. They will lead and manage a team of professionals and work closely with other departments to meet customer demands while optimizing cost, quality, and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Lead the assembly operations to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the production planning process to meet customer demands while optimizing resources.
  • Manage and develop a team of supervisors and production staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Sales, to ensure alignment and support the overall business objectives.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence and reduce waste.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards in the areas of supply chain and assembly operations.

Required Skills / Attributes

  • Proven experience in supply chain management and assembly operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in using supply chain management software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards in supply chain and assembly operations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field preferred OR equivalent years of experience.
  • 5 + Previous experience in a management or leadership role within supply chain or assembly operations required
  • Experience working in a machining and manufacturing industry

Physical Job Requirements

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach during the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently required to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated in the specific work area assigned.
